Ingredients You Will Need
Chicken breast: Chicken breast is a lean cut of meat from the chicken that can be baked, grilled or poached and is so versatile. Some say it can be difficult to cook because it's lean and can become dry.
Carrots: As a root vegetable, they are a perfect candidate for roasting, infusing a soup with a natural sweetness and robust flavor.
Celery: CeIery is a nutrient rich, low calorie food that has fiber and vitamin K, small amounts of A and C, calcium and iron. It is an essential ingredient for making Mirepoix which is an aromatic base of celery, carrots and onions.
Onion: I prefer yellow onion for this recipe as it has a bolder flavor than sweet onions but you can certainly use sweet if you prefer.
Garlic: Fresh is best for obtaining a little stronger touch of garlic flavor than the sweeter touch you would obtain from powder.
Chicken bone broth: You have the option of using either chicken bone broth or regular chicken broth; the bone broth offers enhanced health benefits along with a richer flavor profile.
Hearts of palm spaghetti: Hearts of palm "spaghetti" is typically made from one ingredient, hearts of palm (or the core of certain types of palm trees). It is also available in lasagna like sheets making both varieties a wonderful option for use in so many dishes.
Dill: I prefer fresh dill for its herbaceous, herby, light and refreshing flavors. It is slightly sweet with elements of parsley, celery and anise.
Turmeric powder: Turmeric powder has a warm, bitter taste and is frequently used to flavor or color curry powders, mustards, butter and cheese. Also know as curcumin it is often used to treat conditions that involve pain and inflammation.
Salt and pepper: Salt enhances and balances flavors, while ground black pepper adds a gentle heat, improving the overall flavor of a dish.
Ghee: Incorporating ghee into this sauce adds a rich, nutty flavor. Ghee is clarified - meaning impurities have been removed, resulting in a pure and clear form of butterfat with lower lactose content than butter.
